Rent-to-own News - Pennsylvania dealers gear up for packed meeting

April 18, 2011

Approximately 35 rent to own dealers and vendors will head to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania tomorrow to join in the Pennsylvania Association of Rental Dealers annual meeting at the  Harrisburg Hilton.

Participants will be treated to a packed agenda including talks on human resources, legislative updates, purchasing and product trends, bedbugs and buying groups. In addition, members will elect a new board and officers at the meeting.

"I always canvass the membership and this time around the biggest thing people wanted to hear about was human resources," said four year PARD President Sandi Frye. "We are pleased with the level of sponsorship and participation this year and look forward to a very informative meeting."

Keith Carrico of Imagery Marketing Group, leads off the day's events with a talk on human resource issues followed by APRO General Counsel Ed Winn III who will discuss federal and state issues as they relate to rent to own regulation and day to day legal issues. James MacAlpine, of RentDirect Nationwide will talk about purchasing and the latest product trends.

Mike Frye will discuss his latest invention, Bug Out, which promises an electric-driven portable bed bug solution and Dennis Shields of TRIB Group will discuss the benefits of membership to the rent to own industry's only member-owned buying group.

The meeting is sponsored by RentDirect Nationwide and TRIB Group.

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese
