Rent-to-own News - Premier Auto by Rent opens in Rolla, Missouri

March 4, 2011

Robert Aufner is opening his first Premier Auto By Rent location this weekend in Rolla, Missouri! Aufner worked in the Premier Auto Outlet location in Springfield, Missouri for more than five years as Finance Director.

His father became ill and he found himself driving 300 miles each day to be with his father and then back to Springfield.

He decided to make a move to be closer to his father and family and what better way to make the move then to open a Premier Auto By Rent!

“I’m really looking forward to helping people. I’m in a college town that has been hard hit by the economy. I plan to hire a few families and we have great cars that will go to people who do not have the money for a bank loan down payment,” says Aufner. "We are determined to make a difference in this community and appreciates all the support from our former co-workers, Wayne & Rhonda Lewis and the entire Premier Support System."

Wayne Lewis, President & CEO of Premier Auto By Rent, is excited to have Robert join the Premier Auto by Rent family.

“With his years of experience and commitment to operational excellence makes him a valued franchisee,” Lewis said. “We are looking forward to substantial growth this year. Inquiries and interest in Premier Auto by Rent is growing daily as it proves to be very profitable, yet an inexpensive franchise.”

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese

In order to expand your customer base, you can learn a lot by observing your competitors. But first, you need to figure out just who they are. If you think your only competition is the rent-to-own store down the street, you’re not considering the bigger picture. APRO’s executive director offers a big-picture perspective.

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III

While rent-to-own companies have not cornered the market on negative reviews posted on consumer complaint websites, it’s no surprise that there are cyberspace beefs against RTO. APRO’s general counsel reviews some of them in search of a pattern and he considers appropriate response to online complaints.
