Rent-to-own News - SLR names RTO Industry Veteran Bill Short EVP & Managing Partner

Bill Short, new executive vice president and managing partner of Straight Line resources.

Leather Motion Furniture Importer, Straight Line Resources, LLC (SLR International) announced today that Bill Short has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Managing Partner.

 

Joe Savovic, SLR’s founder and CEO stated, “We are excited to have Bill join our ownership team as we continue to build out our business. Bill’s twenty-five years of knowledge and experience in the specialty retail/finance industry is invaluable as we expand our current business and look beyond the traditional furniture model.

 

His history of successfully leading organizations through periods of tremendous growth, combined with his skills in operational implementation and execution are aligned with the vision we have for SLR”.

Short was formally the President & CEO of Rent-Way, Inc. and an Executive Vice President with Rent-A-Center.

He commented, “This is an exciting organization and I look forward to working with Joe and his team at SLR. The opportunity for innovation and growth is significant as we look at 2011 and beyond”.


In his new role, Short will be focused on leading the day-to-day operations of the company and exploring strategic growth opportunities.

Straight Line Resources, LLC (SLR International) is a global sourcing company with its primary focus on residential motion and stationary leather furniture. SLR currently provides 48-hour shipment on a wide assortment of goods from 4 strategically located US Distribution Centers in addition to its “Voyager” Direct Container Program encompassing over 50 frames.

A dedicated product line has been created to meet the needs and demands of the RTO Distribution Channel, which has been special to Short and Savovic for years. Special “Performance Grade” Bonded Leathers, and standard warranties that go beyond industry standards are just part of the story.
