Rent-to-own News - Holiday gifts come early for TRIB Group members

December 20, 2010

The TRIB Group staff and board of directors  announced today that all members in good standing are being mailed a $400 one-time distribution check.

The first ever announcement came after one of the most successful years in TRIB's history. 2010 saw TRIB host a record breaking convention and an upgraded Meeting of the Minds event that included a second buy fair which both added up to positive cash flow for the buying group.

“In my ten plus years as the executive director of TRIB Group, this distribution to all members is a first,” said Dennis Shields. “And it is with great pleasure that your board of directors and myself get the privilege of sending this distribution to all of our members in good standing. This is a privilege that only a member owned, member run association can do.”

TRIB Group is mailing checks from the office today and members should receive them by Dec. 25.

by Bill Keese

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III

While rent-to-own companies have not cornered the market on negative reviews posted on consumer complaint websites, it’s no surprise that there are cyberspace beefs against RTO. APRO’s general counsel reviews some of them in search of a pattern and he considers appropriate response to online complaints.
