November 24, 2010

Kelly McDonald, a global marketing and advertising expert and author, will be featured as a keynote speaker in January at The Premier Companies annual convention in Phoenix.

Her topic, “Relating, Not Translating:  How to Market to U.S. Latinos” will address the “Latinization of America” and how the exploding Hispanic population is shaping society and culture: music, food, entertainment, media and politics.

Watch recent CNBC interview with McDonald here.

McDonald, who has addressed APRO convention audiences, has more than 20 years of experience with a specialization in marketing to different generations, values, lifestyles, races and ethnicities. She has extensive ability in crafting marketing messages that will resonate with individuals in these diverse groups and turn them into customers for life.

McDonald’s client experience includes brands such as Toyota, Sherwin-Williams, Kimberly-Clark, Budweiser, Harley-Davidson, Mattel, Ace Hardware and Nike. In 2006, she was named #1 on the list of “26 Hot Speakers” by Successful Meetings Magazine.

In 2007 and 2009, Advertising Age named her company one of the top ad agencies in the U.S. In 2008 and 2009, Inc Magazine named her company one of the fastest-growing, privately owned companies in the country. And in 2010, she was named one of the Top 5 Speakers in Marketing, based upon expertise and original contribution to the field.

McDonald has been featured in BusinessWeek, on CNBC, on CNNMoney.com and on XM Radio. Her book, “How to Market to People Not Like You”, will be published in March 2011 by Wiley Publishing.
