Rent-to-own News - Franchisee opens third RimTyme store

September 24, 2010

Franchisee David Deignan recently opened another RimTyme in Georgia; this time it’s in the city of Columbus. The new store makes Deignan’s third custom-wheels-and-tires franchise with other locations in Macon and Warner Robins.

“Opening our doors in Columbus is exciting because we get to show people all the things that set RimTyme apart from other shops,” said Deignan. “Whether it’s the payment plans, great customer service or the fact that they can drive away with new wheels shortly after they come in, people here will have a reason to make RimTyme their first choice when it comes to accessorizing their ride.”

Through its lease-to-own platform, RimTyme offers customers flexible, credit-free options to obtain custom wheels and tires without a long-term obligation. Deignan is confident that Columbus residents will embrace the store’s favorable business model.

“At RimTyme, everyone is pre-approved so there’s no credit-check and no waiting,” he said. “We make it easy with payment plans that can fit anyone’s budget as well as wheels and tires that can fit anyone’s vehicle.”

Located at 4908 Buena Vista Rd., the new store houses a wide inventory of 16 to 24-inch rims and tires and includes a service garage on site for immediate installation of products. RimTyme also provides services like balancing and rotating for the life of the tires at no extra charge.

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese

In order to expand your customer base, you can learn a lot by observing your competitors. But first, you need to figure out just who they are. If you think your only competition is the rent-to-own store down the street, you’re not considering the bigger picture. APRO’s executive director offers a big-picture perspective.

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III

While rent-to-own companies have not cornered the market on negative reviews posted on consumer complaint websites, it’s no surprise that there are cyberspace beefs against RTO. APRO’s general counsel reviews some of them in search of a pattern and he considers appropriate response to online complaints.
